Fake "Customer Message" on Walmart, Pretending to be Walmart

Watch out… There’s no way this is real. Came through as a customer message instead of directly from Walmart.

Opened a case with Walmart bc you get in trouble for not responding to customer messages but certainly not responding to this horse ■■■■.

I would almost respond “we have responded to the case in seller central” just so its marked responded to

“Owner” is spelled with a zero “0”

That was one of the things that tipped me off, once I put my glasses on. lol

I responded “SPAM” and opened a case so I would have a record of it, and to get confirmation from Walmart that it was fake…

See, you have to respond to customer messages within 48 hours or you get in trouble. They don’t have the “no response needed” like AMZ does for buyer messages. Or a report a message option.

Sure they do.

OK - You’re special because not an option on our account.

OK, so.. weird.

Maybe like Etsy where you only have to respond to the 1st message and further messages have the NRN link???

Etsy does not have a “no response needed”, but if you do not reply to the 1st message, you get a metrics hit. You do not have to reply to further messages however.

I have it on all messages. I think.

Yea, wasn’t on the 1st for this one and I have looked to use it before and haven’t found it then either.

But I do see a :triangular_flag: icon in the upper right of the subject. I’m not on Walmart to test but what does said flag actually do?

ETA, Shame on amazon for not even preventing a customer from using the name “Account Verification” lol

*Walmart

That’s for the sellers use to flag for later review

Brain fart, I knew that but fingers didn’t work! Good catch

Ahh, useless

I just got this message too, with the same “reference number.” Completely identical.

I cannot mark this message as “no response needed” either. Which is weird and a little infuriating.

I can, however, mark it as spam.

Different screen layouts, Maybe the … Is under the floating “Quick Learn” box for @ASV_Vites ?

While this page is consumer facing, it does include an email address you may be able to work with, albeit with the disclaimer that you need to indicate that it’s occurring on your seller account. Perhaps attaching the email notification you get from Walmart, if any?

If you suspect you have received a fraudulent email claiming to be from Walmart, please send the email directly to Walmart at [email protected] as an attachment. For investigatory purposes, please do not cut and paste the email into the body of the email or forward the email to us; instead, send the email as an attachment.

I think @ASV_Vites is on mobile.

I have noticed that it is not always an option on some messages.

I guess it depends on the type of message.
@WALMART.COM_EXPERT

I believe you can just type 2 dots as your reply & send “..”

Nope
