Thank you so much
Happy Birthday Steve! ![]()
Happy Birthday, you young whippersnapper.
May you enjoy many more to come; may one of the best presents you receive be satisfaction from SAS Core in the nefarious foreign seller-shenanigans debacle.
Is it wrong to wish Steve a Happy Birthday in the Wild Animals thread??
I donât know you well enough to be sure ![]()
Thank you.
Believe me, I am a wild animal these days so itâs totally called for AND appreciated.

Good caption, wrong picture. This should have had a pet in bed, hogging the covers.
Love seeing Ollie Every Single Day!
Could the sound of a printer be the same for Ollie as our cats from years ago heard the electric can opener my Mum used to use? Our cats all came running when the can opener was run.
This is funny and maybe we should move these over to the FWA thread but anywayâŚ
Iâm a weirdo with food (and everything else obviously). Every Friday night I have a tuna sandwich and a hard boiled egg for dinner, regardless of what everyone else eats here. Been doing that for 30+ years.
Long story short, and had to preface the story with the above.
The second the timer goes off for the egg being done my other cat (Kara) comes running because she knows itâs time for me to make the tuna which she gets some of.
Catâs ainât dumb. Itâs not the can opener. Itâs the alarm and I presume the smell of the egg boiling.
This is Kara BTW. She just turned 12 this month.
Hope Ollie and Kara get along. Our three cats (Dad would not allow more) got herded into the basement at night, but 2 or 3 of them slept on my bed every afternoon.
Sadly that doesnât appear to ever going to happen and itâs an enormous PITA to manage.
More than 30 years ago, I got into the habit of eating fish for my main meal on Friday evenings, because thatâs what still prevailed in the military at the time (a holdover from an earlier time, when Roman Catholic dietary sensibilities carried more weight than theyâve subsequently managed to enjoy).
Iâve yet to find fault with that regimen.
Thatâs how this all started with my parents. ![]()
Oooh⌠I just realized you can actually see whatâs left of the damage to Ollieâs bad eye in this picture from when he was a baby. The white to the center left is the scarring. Poor thing, it had to be in the pupil area. In bright enough light, it doesnât affect his vision though.
