Here is the latest one of Buzzy. I threw an old sheet on the couch and he just loves it.
.
Public school lunches, back when I attended, always had fish on Fridays. They also let off on Wednesday afternoons for the Catholic kids to go to “ligious.” The rest of us just sat around and marked until the end of the day.
The power of Tammany was mighty in its day, and after-effects lingered on for decades after its fall (some are still present in your neck 'o woods).
He’s tricking you, he’s only “cat-napping.”
His eyes are slit open enough to keep an eye on the kingdom.
I want an Ollie or a Buzzy SO bad. Our bookstore cat has yet to come totally out of hiding. It’s been almost six weeks. I’ve had a couple of good petting sessions, and twice lured her into the doorway to the second room of the store, but last Monday she wanted nothing to do with nobody all day. ![]()
Sound on!
I’ve acquired more than one cat this way.

I’ve talked to the owner and he says, “He’s an outdoor cat.” Wanna bet? LOL. Cricket did have a GPS on that big collar of his but it was lost. The owner knew where the cat was going.
Funny story from today I think some of you will appreciate.
So today would have been my FIL’s 97th so we have some things going on today and again this evening. Today is also the day that the aquarium was due to be cleaned so I did that this morning and brought Ollie down because he likes to watch.
Kara was sleeping in my daughter’s bed as she normally does during the day so I just closed the door. I clean the tank, make lunch (which Ollie normally has some of (deli turkey
), but he was hanging somewhere else.
I totally forget about him and I am talking to my son about what we need to do today / tonight.. I opened my daughter’s door, not realizing that Ollie was still around and jump in the shower.
I get out, get dressed and then remember - holy ■■■■, these cats are going to be in little pieces. LOL
They never realized that they were around each other for 40 mins. Kara never left the bed, Ollie never came out of wherever he was. That could have been trouble. My son was gaming with headphones on so he never would have heard the fighting.
Got lucky. This isn’t s big house either - 1200SF 3B 2B over 3B 2B, so really 2400SF.
Maybe the old man was looking down on us today, protecting the kitties from being torn apart on his BD.

That collar looks as though it is too tight. The only collars our cats had were flea collars, but that was long ago.
Cats who need a place to live become friendly with a local family and eventually move in. Is this not well-known cat behavior? All four of our cats came to us that way.
Glad that someone can view that with sangfroid.
I’m viewing this with a bit less aplomb than is Ollie… ![]()
“My human, I will kick Amazon for you!”
OMG, Ollie’s tail must be a foot and a half long–never seen it in its entirety.
My dad, long gone now brought home a cat he found in a house he was building. This was in the 1960-1970 time range. She had a very long tail, though it had a imprint of a 2x4 in her tail. Her name “Tiny” thus my porn name, " Tiny Roycroft" based on your first pet and the first street you lived on.
Sorry, could be in the wrong thread…
Yeah I’m gonna white list that word!
I only used it since I got the black blot dots. I would have blocked it out if it was allowed. Part of the mystery here at SAS, AKA SASSY forum. ![]()
Decorating for Christmas with five cats… (sound on)
(not my video but same)
He’s officially huge. I haven’t weighed him in 2 months. He’s got to be 15lbs or heavier at this point. My vet is gonna be pissed if he gets too heavy. She’s very particular about keeping her patients trim…
From personal experience, it’s not easy to keep Orange Tabby’s at a normal weight. Charlie was pretty good, topped out at 18lbs at one point. Autumn was another story. He was 26lbs his whole life and right up till the end. Charlie was 9lbs when we put him to sleep. He lost his weight so gradually, we didn’t pick up on how thin he had gotten. That was shocking to say the least. Autumn was the biggest cat in overall size / not just weight that I’ve ever seen. I’ll have to find a picture and share.
ETA - found a picture. That’s full grown Charlie with Autumn. They absolutely loved each other.
No fat shaming allowed. He was on all sorts of drugs his whole life for Asthma and Diabetes. The Diabetes wasn’t caused by his weight. It was caused by the steroids various vets had him on for his uncontrolled asthma.
Found a new vet that got him on Singulair for humans and he never had another attack in his life (8 years free of attacks). He passed at 14.
Wow, bigger than most of my racoons!
I will admit the touching part is so touching.
