Have you considered Guinness?
Cat-Stuck-Funny-Photos-14-glass

My childhood cat would only drink out of a running faucet (shower or sink). No fountainā€¦had to be ā€œfreshā€. She was a unique one, my Zoe.

@ASV_Vites could you add a little tuna ā€œjuiceā€ to make it enticing? From a water-packed can. Maybe like 85% water, 15% juice. Just enough to get him to want it. (I give the ā€œjuiceā€ to my pups anytime I eat tuna, and they go bonkers for it!)

Heā€™s drinking quite nicely from an oral syringe. Weā€™ve developed a pattern of drinking then playing as a reinforcement this week. No need for the needle thankfully.

We will figure this out. The crystals have been labeled as ā€œmildā€ and wait and see. Iā€™m almost positive that his issue is related to not drinking enough. That and still eating kitten food which has more minerals in it. Time to transition the food. He does eat wet food too but prefers dry sadly. The only wet food he will eat is fancy feast tender turkey. Weā€™ve tried giving him some of the 7 different wet foods that Kara eats - no diceā€¦ Heā€™s picky.

Kara has 2 different dry foods and he eats them both so finding a dry food thatā€™s good for his condition will likely be accepted by him.

You are right, does not. The crystals are irritating and the cat litter seems to exacerbate the irritation.

To those living in areas affected by the frigid temperatures, may you and your pets be safe and warm.

I thought about posting this in the bookseller forum, but figured it would get a good reaction here.

I shipped out a book Thursday; my condition notes mentioned that there was damage with a few small holes along the top edge, so matched the book. But as I was packing it up, I realized that the holes were tooth-marks; it looked like a dog had chewed on it a bit.

What kind of book was it? A book on training your dog.

Makes sense. Just like the corners eaten away on reference books for parrots.

A puppy may go on a terrible spree, but for steady, day-in, day-out destructiveness, a parrot wins.

Parrots? Who lets them out of their cages? How about chinchillas? They have the same old rodent problem: ā€œIf I donā€™t keep my teeth in shape by knawing at anything and everything, they will kill me!ā€ Evidence of chinchilla bites persists in my sonā€™s room from many years ago.

Just a follow up on thisā€¦ That space hat is a real disaster. It seemed to be a deterrent so I left it on him when I wasnā€™t with him. That was a big mistakeā€¦ Yesterday morning I took it off and there was some blood around the edge from the rubbing of the area while he was cleaning or attempting to clean.

Had 2 choices:

  1. Put him back in that plastic vet cone that he absolutely hated.
  2. Take a chance, and leave him with nothing. He was only supposed to be conned for 3 days anyway.

Chose option 2 and everything looks good today and maybe a little better than yesterday. Iā€™ve been with him pretty much all day today and he didnā€™t go there once, so hopefully heā€™s on the mend for good.

Taking him in on Fri for a follow up and to discuss the crystals with the vet.

Iā€™ll just leave this hereā€¦ And Yes, heā€™s sound asleep like this.

This really belongs on the thread where the discussion was about negative reviews not posting. I think it was something @VTR started or def contributed to. Gave up looking bc Iā€™m sick for the 2nd time in 7 years, likely covid again. Donā€™t even want to knowā€¦ Thatā€™s what happens when you go to a wedding with 200 people at it in Jan which is what I did on Fri night.

This is insane that this review got blocked. I only told the truth and certainly didnā€™t break any rule. Funny thing is this seller requested a review today, so I reviewed it again with fewer words but got right to the point that the item SUCKSā€¦

Ive had more then a few critical reviews blocked. I assume this is Amazon overcompensating for competitors leaving fake reviews to try and tank an asin?

Yea, I would like to believe the same but plenty get onto our listings and some really crazy ā– ā– ā– ā–  too. Stuff that would most certainly fit the ā€œwe couldnā€™t postā€ mold.

50/50 with getting them removed with SAS. 3 for 6 to be exact.

annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd - Positive for Covidā€¦ BinaxNOW test lit up instantlyā€¦

They did say that pretty much everyone would get this new variant. Chalk me up on the big boardā€¦ :ballot_box_with_check:

Itā€™s called a hangover while being old, not Covid.

Yep, I popped positive last Monday after I woke up feeling like a truck hit me. Finally starting to feel mostly normal thankfully.

That being said, Covid seems to be everywhere and hitting everyone right now in the NJ/NY area. Stay safe, folks.

This time seems much better than the last time. I was in bed for at least 10 days in Aug of 2022 when I had the first time with a fever. Functioning normally with this bout and itā€™s rapidly progressing to its end.

Only 4.5 days in and I feel pretty much normal other than a complete loss of smell which is always interesting. Lost taste / smell the first time. No fever this time. Wellā€¦ Thatā€™s not entirely true. My normal body temp is around 97.3. Was in the upper 98ā€™s on Tues for a bit which feels like a fever to me. lol

I had a doctorā€™s appointment in late November and received a Covid shot then. The previous shots worked for me so Iā€™m hoping this one will too.

My normal is 97.1. Nothing so frustrating as feeling crappy and feverish, only to be told 98.6 means nothing is wrong, when your body is clearly fighting something, and you are in tune with the signs.

So I found this recently. Not only is body temp idiosyncratic, but the average is also declining to around 97.9 currently. 98.6 is old science. #themoreyouknow

So YES you had a fever (thankfully short and mild) and are entitled to rest and recuperate.

This must be natureā€™s way of compensating for a warming planet???

Could also be genetics. My daughter looks a lot like me and her normal is like mine. Wifey is 98.6+ normal and so is my son, who looks a lot like my late FIL.
