Taking a break to watch football (Roll Tide but respect to unranked Vanderbilt leading #1 Alabama here at the end of the first!) and crochet. This one in my lap is helping me with my yarn  definitely not napping

Vandy hasn’t beat Bama in 40 years (the “Give Them Liberty” Iron Bowl season) - but QB Pavia is a proven giant-killer - including last season’s thumping of Auburn (on The Plains, no less) - when he was still leading New Mexico State to improbable wins & unexpectedly-successful seasons.

I’ll go on record saying that the `Dores will have a tough time beating the Tide, today, despite their outstanding 1st-½ performance - but stranger things HAVE happened…

And the Commodores did it - 40-35!

Couldn’t have happened to more deserving team - Vandy’s been the SEC’s “whipping boy” for most of the last 100 seasons, arguably because of its sterling academic requirements - than this one.

I respected Vanderbilt’s performance tonight. They worked hard and earned their win.

Kittens are so funny. At five months old, Jinks is still learning about the world.

We are finally getting into the cooler fall weather in my area. Enough so that tonight I brought out my space heater for the first time. When Jinks encountered this new object he didn’t know what to think of this oscillating black tower that was producing heat. He cautiously approached it, backed off, put a paw out and then withdrew it. He finally retreated to the safety of the arm chair to watch this slow moving creature.

Pumpkin and Magic are waiting for us to turn on the boiler so that they can sleep on the warm radiators.

This is my wild animal. Willow, the adorable, sweet, loving, cute tiny little donkey on the left. Last week, he reminded me that he is 300lbs of cuteness, and dragged me 200 feet up the street. At that time I finally let go of the lead and he invited me to a nice game of catch and “hide and seek” around the neighborhood. When I finally “won”, it took me 20 minutes to drag him back home, one single foot at the time (and he’s got FOUR of those)

You Betcha! The thumbnail does not show the full appearance of this Cat Thing.

I would not want to wake up in the morning with it laying on my chest looking for food, or worse yet a little loving.

I have long felt that the organizations responsible for recognizing and setting breed standards should not allow a registered breed that is not able to live as a “normal” cat / dog. Breeds that are unable to reproduce without humans assistance for example. Hairless cats. Creating living things just to see how weird you can make them is not morally responsible.

MOD EDIT: Spelling correction at the request of the user.

I guess everyone figured out that “should now allow” was supposed to read “should not allow”

Jheeesh – crucial typos (shaking my head)

I knew that, it was not hard to see. Perhaps @papy can do an edit with a note.
