How to Find Draft New Products

I submitted a product and got the error that I was using the same msku I used before, and I had to do Seller Support for help.

It said the product would be saved as a draft, but now I can’t find it anywhere, especially not under Drafts (which just shows listings out of stock and such).

Is there a page for products still waiting submission?

Cheers!

LOL and sigh :woman_facepalming:

Other Sellers have had disappearing drafts, too, but with the added FBA factor, let’s wait for some FBA folks to weigh in.

I tried just adding again. The error happens when it tries to convert me to FBA:

I use GTIN as my product identifier, so at least they got my ASIN correct to match.

I believe you have to use a separate SKU for FBA, it can’t be the same SKU you use for FBM

i’ve only ever done FBA. I can’t change my own manufacturing sku. I only removed the listing because that’s what they suggested to make the requiring edits.

I’ve never done FBM

You can create multiple SKUs on Amazon for the same ASIN as I understand it. Many people do it for expiring products to track batches. It’s the same ASIN and your GTIN doesn’t change, just one is FBM and one is FBA. Hopefully someone here can explain it better than me as I don’t do FBM at all.

I’ve been doing FBA with this msku for 3 years. I have tons of stranded inventory that needs the matching msku to reconnect.

how could anyone ever recover their stranded inventory if they are not allowed to re-use the msku. If htat is the case, Amazon should ship the inventory back instantly, since no way to reconnect to it.

FBA inventory is tracked with the FNSKU, not the MSKU.

yes, but the FNSKU is generated based on the MSKU and the Product Identifier.

as long as the MSKU and PI don’t change, the FNSKU reconnects and generates the same FNSKU.

If one of those changes, like the MSKU, the FNSKU is then generated to be different, and inventory is left stranded.

It’s been a long time since I created a new listing. I know you can do it, I’m just a bit out of my league here, I’m sure someone will chime in that has done it when it’s not 3 am for them LOL. I’m thinking @VTR or @ASV_Vites will probably know how to get where you want to go.

In our experience, you get the above message when the system is laggy or delayed for things like the image server when you are trying to delete and re-upload or move from draft. In other words, they have not cleaned up their end yet.
We have had 2-3 day delays between deletion, image update, draft and stranded on very rare occasions.

There seems to be an issue/problem with the ASIN in the .COM catalog.

What do you see when searching MYI B08TZD673S ?

nada. currently no listings that meet that criteria.

What time frame are we talking about? Yesterday or like Friday the 15th?

Your ASIN seems to be Yanked (by Amazon) from the .com catalog.

The DP (Detail Page) is available on many an Amazon marketplace but Dogged on .com

Start making a listing using the same data using a new SKU. Once made make another SKU matching your old one and see what happens.

seller support living up to their reputation. They first asked for a screenshot so they can confirm that it was in fact being rejected for same MSKU, and I thought we were making progress, and then they followed up by sending me a guide on how to add a new product, so everything I just did before the screenshot. sigh

not sure what you mean in order of timeline.

So Add Product, just create a fake MSKU. That will definitely go through.

And then Add Product, using the original MSKU?

Or try to make it then edit it after?

When? An hour ago, yesterday, last week, 2014???

Well, we have to work with partial information here. Does anything come up with the UPC? If not, remake listing with the same UPC and a different SKU. Then once in the system wait a few days and make another SKU that matches what you used for the FNSKU you want to revive and see if it all lines up again.
OR
If you had inventory at FBA under that FNSKU, simply wait for it to go stranded and click make listing, sku whatever the options are when the system makes it stranded.

You can’t edit SKU’s in Amazon. You can only edit ASINs/listings.

I removed the listings March 13th, as I couldn’t edit nor re-instate it, and Amazon email said the only way to correct it was to delete and re-submit. 7 days, it should be clear.

I’ve been trying to add them back ever since.

When I try to add the product with the same GTIN it creates the same ASIN the product had before, so it must recognize the UPC.

They’ve been stranded since Feb 22, I did a one month extension.

My options are Appeal or Relist or Create Removal Order

When I tried to Relist, it said I couldn’t because “Restricted ASIN”. Which makes sense, as the email from Amazon said there was zero way to edit and re-instate the listing without removing it first.

The Stranded inventory for both skus is still there, same options, if I say relist, it just says Sorry, the SKU you have provided doesn’t match any of our records.

Since I see it stranded and ready for action, where is “make listing”?
