Have you ever seen the 70lb weight limit printed on the USPS Small Flat Rate Box?

So the box is 8.5x5.5x1.5" Internally.

The densest substance on earth is Osmium.

Filling the box would only make it about 61.48lbs.

It like playing the Price is Right Cliff Hanger game, but the guy can’t fall over the edge!

I’ve always wondered. So that bit of info saves me from having to make that experiment.

My record for the Large Flat Rate (Board Game) Box is 65 pounds (though typical is 35-50). I designed one of my products to fit snugly in a slightly smaller box which then fits snugly into the flat rate box. I’ve actually seen a postal clerk disappear into the back when she saw me coming across the parking lot with a stack of these on the cart. I would always put the packages onto the scale to save them the heavy lift, but then the COVID Plexiglass showed up and I could no longer do that for them.

The USPS’s reliability plummeted at the same time my volume increased to where I could justify a daily UPS pick up, so it’s very rare I take these heavy monster packages in any more. But rare doesn’t mean never.

My favorite joke from Covid lockdown days:

My wife yelled from upstairs and asked, “Do you ever get a shooting pain across your body, like someone’s got a voodoo doll of you and they’re stabbing it?”

Sounding concerned, I replied, “No…”

She responded, “How about now?”

This was my favorite Covid joke.

That was wonderful (too bad they left out “what” (this lady needs)

Couldn’t leave it alone – line not centered but that would be harder.

Ah, who am I kidding. Had to fix it, and too late to edit.
