The best part about having a birthday in July is you get to have fresh watermelon and firecrackers instead of a cake with candles.

I had an aversion to birthday cake (combination of having a family celebrate 4 birthdays in less than 3 weeks AND having gotten sick on butter cream frosting) as a kid, I can totally understand wanting watermelon instead (or pizza, or brownies, or cookies, or whatever.)
Firecrackers, Ok.

We have 4 on one day and then 4 more over a 6 day period just a month later and there are 4 more sprinkled in between those two groupings of 4.
Watermelon and chocolate chip cookies makes for one happy camper right here!
