Sounds like there ought to be a haiku in there somewhere.
I ride my bike on back road island roads almost daily and some farmer has a sasquatch chainsaw wood carving on the forest edge that he decorates for parties, seasonal themes, etc. (balloons, St. Patrick hats, etc). I look forward to seeing what he comes up with next each time I go by.
I’m actually a Xennial, which I was reminded today when this banger (1996) came out my speakers and reminded of this (click)! Relatable even if you’re not a Millenial ![]()
when this banger (1996) came out my speakers
ETA: Wrong version. This is the correct one.

Weekend update this past weekend was all I saw (on YouTube) and it was good. Poor New Jersey!
Yes it is.
And net profits since someone should throw a net over me for not understanding the difference!
Hmmm
I had not previously thought about the phrase “net profits”
Perhaps that is what stays in the net and you get to keep it (dinner!)
I’m a farmer, I would actually prefer just remaining on standard time. Sigh, Now we have to get up and work before dawn in the Winter time and in the summer time we can’t get the kids to go to sleep at a reasonable hour because it is still sunshine out after bedtime!!!
Sign.
I also grew up in a state that was on the far western edge of a time zone (Fireworks and drive in movies were always problematic for how late at night they had to start.)
I don’t mind so much that they use one or the other, I mostly annoyed with the changing of time 2 times per year.
Personally, I do prefer to have longer afternoons, but I obviously see the problems that it has for given activities. I’m just happy that (for now) they are not switching back and forth
