[MARCH 2024] Update to SellersAskSellers TOS

Hello SellersAskSellers community!

We want to make you aware that we have added clarifying language to our Terms of Service regarding how we manage your content, as we moderate our growing community.

While we have always had the following statement under Enforcement:

The company reserves the right to change, redact, and delete content on the forum for any reason. If you believe someone has submitted content to the forum in violation of these terms, contact us immediately.

…we wanted to clarify what “change, redact, and delete” could look like, as well as what “content” describes.

Therefore, we have added the following under Your Content:

SellersAskSellers administrators and staff reserve the right to edit or remove your content without prior warning or notification afterward, for purposes of moderating forum content and/or addressing violations of Community Expectations.

• “Your content” includes posts, topics, topic titles, tags, profile information, profile images, and other content created by you and shared on SellersAskSellers.
• Editing of your content is not intended to modify your message but to offer clarity or to address violations. Some examples of why SellersAskSellers might edit your content may include but are not limited to correcting spelling errors and/or obvious typos; adjusting content to adhere to topic template, category guidelines, forum organization, and/or facilitate search-and-find for users; and search engine optimization.
• Content may be removed at any time because it violates our TOS, Community Expectations, or applicable laws, with or without community flags.
• The System will automatically notify users for most content edits or removals.
• If you have a concern about any content edits or removals, you can reply to the System notification, flag the post or topic, email [email protected], or send a message to moderators/ @SAS-Staff .

This update to the TOS does NOT change anything in terms of SellersAskSellers “modmin” practices, but hopefully it clarifies the purpose of those practices as well as the process to follow up if a user has any questions or concerns about removal or modification of content.
