Was playing around in our seller dashboard just now and noticed a new “archived” section in the policy violation. Hmm, that’s new I thought.
I clicked on it and there were 3 things…an INFORM ACT verification was one of them dated from July 25. We received zero notification of any verification needed nor has anything shown anywhere in our dashboard or in product policy compliance. I clicked on the “start verification” button and they wanted a new driver’s license I’m assuming since it said the expiration date was not valid (which is true, my license automatically expired in February 2024…and it’s since been renewed).
My question is why the hell is this dated 3 weeks ago when we received nothing? Now of course we have all these ACCOUNT AT RISK messages everywhere that likely would not have happened had we not clicked on the submit verification link in the ARCHIVED section.
So, that sound like it’s something to do with EU markets, so if anybody who is not selling in Amazon markets in the EU countries, probably don’t have to do anything listed in the “Archived” area, right?
Yeah you guys need to check this for sure….everyone.
I remember the thread was posted on here months ago about re-certifying your info every year and most of us went in and did that at the time even though it wasn’t requiring us to.
Went I originally went to the “archived” section, I didn’t know whether they wanted us to do something as it was, again, in the archived section and not the “open” section (open meaning current, I guess). However, I got worried when it had the date of that as July 25 because no notice was ever sent. It seems when I went to submit re verify from the archived….it must have tripped up another case that’s now in the open section.
It was also saying our bank account wasn’t verified (even though it’s the same account that we indeed verified on Amazon for 15 years that we get our disbursements in). I reverified that, too….says pending. Same with the other one.
Right, that’s what it says there……but that’s my point….how do we know? It says there will be other things showing there eventually. I’m taking this as the eventually.
This is the crap that pisses me off. I swear, I don’t remember a period like the last 6 months ever on this site……it’s been one thing after another.
Yeah that’s what happened with us, too. I think that new violation happened after we verified the second one on your list.
Also, we had 2 of those review account information ones from May (which show third on your list). You can see the buttons there imply that all three of those things on the list aren’t addresses and need to be….but then why is it in the archived section?
I did my certification in March 28,2024, and there is a “Certification Complete” notice in my Performance Notifications page.
So, even though I do have those notices under “Archived”, I’m just going to consider that has nothing to do with me since I only selling in US, and not going to click any thing there
I’m goin to believe if I need to verify them again, there will be notice showing on my Account health page, like it did in March.
I have this on both my accounts. It’s gotta be a glitch. That’s what I’m going with until Amazon sends an email. This is nonsense. Accounts were verified with postcards last year and again in May of this year as certified and everything is marked as certified.
Amazon is probably testing by storing these notices under product performance archive.
What does the INFORM Consumers Act require?
We encourage you to visit your Account health page to review any outstanding requirements or confirm that your information is accurate and current. If you do not have any outstanding action items for INFORM, these requirements will not be visible to you on the Account Health page. If we require that you take further steps to verify your current information, we will contact you via email with specific instructions. We will also ask all high-volume sellers to certify that their information is still correct and up-to-date at least once a year. To avoid any disruption to your business, respond to these messages within the specified timelines.
Funny enough, I had no notifications when I logged in this morning but I went to look at account health after seeing the OP’s post. I found I had the same issue as they did, something from July 25th that I had never seen before.
Now, 2 minutes ago I have the warning banner about account deactivation on my home page. Interesting timeline. My warning has to do with my bank account information which hasn’t changed in years. Uploaded a bank statement with all their required information, now waiting for verification.
Hopefully this is just something resolved easily and quickly but who knows? As others have stated, please go and look at your account health page before this becomes an issue that you didn’t even know about.
