New features for Fulfillment by Merchant sellers

Hello,

We’ve introduced new Fulfillment by Merchant (FBM) features to give you more control over your settings. These improvements can help you manage delivery dates more accurately and keep your products visible even when your business is closed.

New features for Fulfillment by Merchant settings include the following:

  • Seller-set holidays: You can now set your own holidays, which are days when your business is closed while keeping your products visible to customers. Previously, you had to use vacation mode to manage time off, which made your listings temporarily undiscoverable. The system automatically adjusts delivery dates to account for your holiday schedule. Go to Shipping Settings to configure your holiday dates. To learn more, go to Manage Holiday Settings.

  • Improved location settings: The new Locations tab in your shipping settings lets you customize your operations for each location. Set different operating days, carrier pick-up times, and order cut-off times to ensure more accurate delivery promises when you use Shipping Settings Automation. To learn more, go to Location based Shipping Settings.

  • Enhanced transparency for delivery dates: To help you understand how delivery dates are calculated, we’ve added new columns to your FBM order reports. These show the handling and transit times used for each order. You can also view and edit handling times per SKU and location in the Fulfillment by Merchant Inventory Manager. To learn more, go to FBM Order Reports.

  • Improvements to multi-location inventory (MLI): It’s also now easier to manage multi-location inventory. Use the FBM inventory manager in Seller Central to enroll SKUs and update quantities through the Manage all inventory page. If you use multi-channel integrators such as Descartes Sellercloud, Fellowship, Linnworks, SureDone, or Etail Solutions, you can update inventory directly in their systems. You can also update your inventory using APIs or feed files. To learn more, go to Get started with Multi-Location Inventory.

In theory, I’m broadly in favor of all of these. In practice, as with everything Amazon does, wait for the details.

Well that announcement is different than the one Amazon sent us but yours explains the details better …

We can confirm the custom holiday does function nicely.
