We could do that for you but thought it would be better to let everyone learn from it.
If you type the link … then highlight it (as if copying) … then click the double paper clip to the left of the quotation marks and insert the link into the box and save … the link will show and work as ours did above. It will show the link and be the link.
Are you sure your “All reports” link is at left hand side? I found mine on the upper right side of “My business” page, above the “sales” section. I don’t have it on left side panel.
Learn what exactly? To look closer when you copy/paste? Because I did “click the double paper clip to the left of the quotation marks and insert the link into the box and save?”
Also teaches how to look at a link and figure out how it got broken. @Dogtamer has shown how many links could be modified to work when a mod used the wrong format.
We were not trying to teach you per say but help those who struggle with links.
Truly sorry if our choice of words offended you … definitely not the intent.
We have always appreciated your knowledge.
What I really hate about this new experience is I often see the old page pop up briefly and it then redirects me to the new page, so it’s like going in circles. They either make a whole new page or they let us go directly to the old page, but none of this nonsense. I hate knowing my time’s being wasted as it goes from point A to B to C. I want to go from A to C nonstop.
I’ve seen multiple reports of that same behavior, and not just over in The Shrieking Horror NSFE, so I’m inclined to conclude that this is yet another example (link, SAS) of how & where Amazon’s determination to roll out the New Seller Central Experience/Seller Experience Lab/Next-Gen Selling revamp is breaking its mish-mash of Bad Code piled upon New Code.
Our people prefer using this for their Seller Central-navigation bookmarks (link ‘broken’ for Discourse display, as was true of what I did w/ my quoting of your post above):
The ‘most-simplified’ v. of that URL, @ https: //sellercentral.amazon.com/business-reports, will typically automatically redirect there; nevertheless, I’ll be adding your link to the repertoire…
Yes, that’s what I’ve been using to access the old page.
But I wondered if that option has been REMOVED for Rob (@oneida_books). Maybe he didn’t see my question. But my concern is if that link is going away, seller-by-seller.
Then again, Rob says he “likes” the new layout, so maybe he’s not even looking for a way out!
I’d just like to hear from anybody for whom that link is gone. I need to plan my angst.
The underlined “by the end of August 2026…” line - The next line mentions “the ability to switch their default experience…”
EDIT TO ADD HERE
The image I added says “primary” … which I’d relate to “default.” So maybe it will exist as a home page you can switch to, but not “default to” for some time … ???
The old inventory management page didn’t have this problem, but on the new page, if you search for an ASIN or SKU with a space before the first character, it returns no results. This is particularly annoying because when copying ASINs and SKUs from various places on Amazon, it adds a space as the first character. Another great “improvement.”
I am still doing it the old way, using the hack I came up with. Though I don’t switch back, since I never left, so if I lost the ability to switch back, I would never know it.
I’m still on the old version on one computer, with no hack involved. It switched to the new version about 4-5 weeks ago, then switched back on its own a couple of weeks later.
Amazon really needs to figure out what they are doing.
I’ve had that problem (everywhere) for so long that I now automatically just go to the front of a copied ASIN/ISBN and backspace just to be sure. More often than not, there is a space there.
Some sites seem to still recognize the entry, however, while some don’t.
Yes, this issue is very common. But Amazon used to remove any spaces before a search term. Now it doesn’t. This regression under the guise of an “improvement” is what irks me.
