New Seller Central coming soon

I can. I’m just to old to care much any more about switching back and forth.

Here is a little help for the New Seller Central …

Remember creating bookmark links in the 2 line of the header? … by clicking the box in the menu

… to have links here …

On the New Seller Central, there are no bookmark links in the menu; however, there is a way to still do it. In the 2nd row in the header on the left side, there is the bookmark link in the header. When you are on the page that you want to bookmark into that 2nd row … just click on it while you are on the page. To edit the 2nd row … on the right side is the edit “pencil” icon. Click on it to edit the 2nd row.

If you are on a page that is already bookmarked, the bookmark on the left will show this …

You can click on the bookmark to remove that page from the 2nd header row.

If you are on the home page of the New Seller Central, that page and any of the tabbed pages that toggle the info on the home page can not be bookmarked.

That page and the tabbed items serve really as only a menu to get to the pages that we all work on.

This should save you from having to bookmark all of your normal working pages as a browser link as you can put them in the header 2nd row.

I just bookmarked your information about bookmarks; hopefully this won’t destroy the matrix.

This weekend … Amazon made some changes to the search pages and the product detail pages. It appears to be a slow roll out (not all ASINs getting it at once).

Product Search result page and Product Detail page …

  • Brand name is removed from the title if the brand does not have a store .
  • Brand name is removed from the search display of item if the brand does not have a store otherwise the brand name appears and is in bold text.
  • Size attribute removed (at least for ASINs like ours).
  • ASINs that did not update title to 75 characters seemly remain unchanged (interestingly, these unchanged ASINs also have the brand store).
  • If the title was updated to the 75 Characters, the title is now on top with the highlights under it in a smaller font - no more “|” separating the title and highlights in title.
  • Title of those with 75 character titles is a smaller font than those who did not do the 75 character title.

Our sales were strong in August and fell off sharply after Labor Day. At first we thought it might be do to the USPS adjustments being done, but now we believe the drop in sales is a result of these updates on how our products appear in the search and on their detail pages.

For us … Glitchmas season has begun. At least for us, it is early enough that we might be able to revamp a little and move on.

In addition to today’s other post, the ability to bookmark pages is available in the left menu again on the New Seller Central. The unchecked bookmark icon doesn’t show unless you hover over it, but it shows once you click on an item as a bookmark so you can see what pages you have bookmarked.

LOL

Hello,

As of September 24, 2026, you’ll be welcomed back to the new Seller Central, a selling experience shaped by feedback from sellers like you. Since you last tried the new Seller Central experience, we’ve made meaningful improvements based on your input.

We’ve streamlined navigation to make your daily tools easier to access. Product and shipment management now feature faster search and side-panel details. Seller Assistant is built into Manage Products to surface insights and take actions on your behalf. Plus, customizable workspaces let you choose what data to see and save your preferred views.

To get familiar with the new Seller Central experience and to find all the tools you need:

  • Get to know the new layout with the full guide to finding your favorite tools.
  • Discover every tool and page in one place with the site map, also accessible at the bottom left corner of the menu.
  • Locate any tool instantly using the search bar at the top of any page.
  • Stay on top of what matters with the Action Center in the left panel for your most important next steps across all workspaces.

You can still access classic Seller Central. Go to the top right corner of any page and select the gear icon, then select Seller Central. This option will be available until early 2027.

We’re continuing to build and improve based on your feedback. If you have feedback, select Feedback at the bottom of any page.

So, it’s still possible to keep using the old Seller Central after 9/24, 2026.

Yes. Click on Seller Central and you are magically transported back in time.

Careful when using the Revert Seller Experience Machine

I guess they’re positioning themselves as an Agile development, iterative development shop now

I must say the new Chat Bot you get when looking for “help” is very agreeable. Every time I tell it that it is wrong or my page does not have what they tell me to click, it agrees with me. Then tries again. Eventually it ran out of things to try, and I told it we had now come full circle, where it was suggesting I try the very thing I started out the conversation telling them I could not do. It agreed and said “Yes, we have come full circle. Sorry it didn’t work out.”

Some day when sales are even slower than normal it might be fun to just keep going and see how many ‘full circles’ I could tie up their ‘agent’ for.

With the ability to tab out and do something else it might be hours of circles. Sort of like a drunk stuck in a roundabout because they can’t find the exit…

FYI…I noticed in the Shipping Template Overview

Doesn’t actually show how my shipping template is setup accurately..

Asked seller support

This is a known display behavior in shipping templates where the overview and edit sections may show different region configurations. The overview reflects active shipping coverage (including inherited/default settings), while the edit section only shows manually configured regions . The shipping template overview may display regions inherited from the default shipping template or previously saved configurations that were not fully removed .

So, don’t blindly trust what you see on that page.. When you click EDIT Template then you can see how it’s setup

I noticed this when, In the Overview, I see New York, New Jersey grouped with all the other states @ 2-4 Days. But When I click EDIT New York & New Jersey are in their own section @ 2-3 Days.

Some years back, Amazon began segregating the state where the 3P Seller’s Business Address is located from the rest of the Lower 48 Region in Shipping template Editor, but this is the first report I’ve seen of more than one state being segregated this way.

To be sure, I double checked my template; NJ (my state) still is in its own group; but a group I had manually created of neighboring states had its shipping time reset to 5-8 days (the longest time allowed).
I set it back to 2-4; we’ll see if that sticks. (I just wish there was something between “2-4” and “5-8”. Almost nothing takes more than 5 days anywhere, but 4 is asking for trouble for some places; why can’t we have “3-6”?)

On the New Seller Central, was wondering if everyone / anyone else was not seeing the released payments and the associated fees for those payments.

We see the released USPS charges and the deferred order amount on the Finance > Manage Transaction page but nothing associated with when the payment is released. So there is no way to check to see if an order payment has been release like on the old Payment > Transaction View.

You’ll be able to see which order’s payment has been released this way:

  1. fr “Finance” > “Balance summary” section, click the blue number under “Available”
  2. on “Manage Transaction” page, you can choose either “Released” or “Deferred”, and make sure you change the time period to whatever you want, it defaults to 1 day, so might not have anything released on that day, once you have enough days there, a list of the released transaction shows up.

Nope … done all of that and went back 90 days to see if any payments that had already been paid could be seen … nothing.

Note: we can see them on the old seller central payment area but not the new seller central.

OK, here is what I got after doing what I described above:

One thing that’s different between the old one and this new one is on the old SC, the released transactions is listed up to today 9/18. But the new one only listed up to 9/15, so it legging behind.

My mistake on this part. that list was sorted by the order/shipment date, not by the transaction released date, so the latest a few released transactions were listed farther down. The “Actual release date” can not be sorted, so it’s all kind of mixed up, but as far as I can tell all my released transactions are all listed there.
