Same thing that happened to US Corporations entangled with Germany in WWII, I would suspect. Products sourced from become instantly unsellable and are liquidated/destroyed, monetary assets of the citizens of that country held domestically are confiscated by the Federal Government. Any indebtedness to entities of the other country are nullified.
Amazon and others, if they can see the writing on the wall swaps assets owned by a Chinese firm with assets here, which have any semblance of parity. Even if unrelated, and then spend a large fortune on a PR campaign about how patriotic they are and how they never liked China anyway, and never really did business with them…
Woolworths (the Wal-Mart of the early 20th Century) and Osmose (the German owned monopoly, by patent, on global wood preservatives) is an interesting case study on the smart way to salvage/protect/transfer wealth held abroad in advance of the conflagration of war.
I don’t think Amazon has much in the way of PRC wealth, so they will probably skip right to the PR campaign. I suspect that Apple/Foxconn, GM/GAC, and/or Tesla/SAIC would be a more likely asset swap scenario. The US Government would be a big winner in such a case today as China holds 3.2% of all US debt.
Watching China’s US debt holdings which in 2018 was 19% of total US debt, is a good indicator of the probability of direct conflict. The closer to zero, the greater the possibility.
I received another false accusation of counterfeit IP infringement on the same ASIN from the same alleged rights owner (Ma Kai izscrhcjkn@iubridge. com) They are not, I personally know the rights owner.
I tried to look up the iubridge. com and got a log in page, Google displayed a warning that it could be someone trying to trick me.
They have not hijacked the page this time, yet, but they did change the category to Health, Household and Baby Care. It is a grocery item.
I filed my appeal and told the account health rep that I want them blocked from making the same claim again. He said call us next time if it happens again. I think two times in less than a month should qualify for some intervention.
DATA REDACTED is a very common name in Elbonia, and while I haven’t looked it up on Google Maps or anything, DATA REDACTED, DATA REDACTED, DATA REDACTED, 1, DATA REDACTED, US looks like a totally legit address to me…
To clarify, I do know how to look up a domain registration and that did show up in the search but I didn’t go there because a person’s name would mean nothing to me. I was looking for what iubridge. com was, the name of a business, a website? I found a meaningless page with only this and it is not a live ink.
I had more time this morning and apparently it is a mail client according to these sites, potentially nefarious:
verifymail. io
iubridge. com · is a temporary email address. · iubridge. com Mail Server Information · Detect Other Disposable Email Addresses Like iubridge.
IPQualityScore:
The mail domain iubridge. com is valid, has proper DNS MX records (_dc-mx.88416f5f1293.iubridge.com), and is able to accept new email. IPQS email validation algorithms have detected that email addresses on this domain are temporary, disposable, and likely used for abuse and fraudulent behavior. IPQS has high confidence this domain is used for conducting abusive behavior including scams, phishing, malware, and business email compromise (BEC). All users from this domain should be treated with caution.
business email compromise was my concern - what would the consequences be if I had contacted this ‘rights holder’ imposter through the email address Amazon sent in the violation notice.
We removed the content listed at the end of this email. We may let you list this product again if we receive a retraction from the rights owner. Their contact information can be found below. Ma Kai izscrhcjkn@iubridge. com
So, I was trying to figure out why. They have not taken over the page this time. There have never been other sellers on the ASIN. I suppose it could be another seller in the category node.
Maybe their claims to Amazon are ultimately a phishing attempt to get access to legitimate business email accounts when a seller responds. It’s pretty disturbing that these claims can include dangerous email addresses and Amazon is unwittingly* distributing them.

Unwittingly maybe, or just not inclined to police that.
It has happened again, this morning. Three times in three months, on the same grocery ASIN.
This one is a different accuser name and email. Moved to Health category again. So far the brand name on the PDP is ok.
Can Account Health protect my ASIN in the future? No. They can block a third false IP complaint after two have been filed by the same person. That is all they can do.
The rotten seller apparently knows this, the first two were in the the same name but they used a new name and email to file the third one. And they can continue this pattern because Amazon has no other controls available to block it.
