Re-verify Business Address

I don’t have your “pink” banner, just the yellow “Alert” box and the “Inform” list with “Business address” link for verification, I did click on “Add a new address” to fill my address again thinking that’s what triggers the postcard, but still:

If they are sending you a postcard you should have received it now, since it’s a week now, some of the sellers mentioned receiving the card before the estimated date.

I’m in the process of opening a case, by phone if I can, to see if I can found out what’s the status of my address verification. But I’m not counting on getting real useful help.

Please let me know if you do receive the postcard.

however first scan was Detriot. This has to be the postcard as not expecting anything else.

Yup, cleveland is where mine originated. And yes the informed delivery said RICOH, and that matches my tracking number.

I checked my box again today, nothing. I’m going to call tomorrow. It’s past 5-7 business days and no tracking display bar ever appeared.

Please let us know the result of that.

Yesterday I tried to use the “Call me now” link, and the resulting phone call was just static, so I opened a case, and reopen it again to ask to escalate to a leadership team associates, both replies basically said:

  1. This Address Verification requirement is part of the INFORM Act Tax (?) Questionnaire
  2. US-based sellers with a business location in the US are not required to fill out the questionnaire. (what questionnaire?)
  3. We will update your Account Health page and Account Information page accordingly in the coming days to eliminate this error that causes the INFORM Consumers Act and “Account at risk” windows to appear there. (Haven’t happen yet, still have the yellow “alert” box & “deactivation” banners)

I’m not sure if they were confusing my address verification with that Tax ID verification (their talk about Tax questionnaire), both of my cases emphasized the issue was for Business address verification. I hope what they said were true and “error” will be fixed, but not counting on it.

I also tagged a couple NSFE mods, who were kind of helpful with couple other sellers’ inquires, to ask if they could look into my issue, but so far haven’t received any reply. The HM mods on NSFE suggested to open a case or use “Call me now”, well not useful at all.

At this point I don’t know what else I can do, so just going to wait a few days to see if any changes happens.

A couple posts on NSFE said that “progress bar” and “code box” appeared a few days after they got the verification notice, so I’m going to click on “Address verification” link each day to see if that happens.

When Amazon changed our Business Address to our personal name, personal address and cell phone, we went into the Business Address and clicked on the add address. Since our original Business Address was already there with the correct Business Phone, we clicked the circle by it to set it again and then saved. We did not at that time receive a notice that we would be getting a post card for verification. However … after about 10 days of making this change, the widget on the Account Health page changed so we looked at the Business Address again. When we did check, it then was asking us to fill in our name (we put the Business Name) and click send (or verify … can’t remember what the action button was called). This generated the notice and status bar line stating that the verification post card was being sent.

This is exactly what we did for about two weeks when trying to complete each of the 5 items on the Account Health page widget.

Yes, I had the “Add a new address” link as well. So, I added a new address and Amazon is sending a post card to that address for verification. It should arrive sometimes next week.

Before you enter the code, make sure it shows as delivered; if not, it may cause an invalid code error. Mine was delivered yesterday but only updated as delivered today.

I added a “new address” (same one as before) and submitted it, and nothing happened on my business address page, nothing showing an postcard was or will be sent, no box to enter the code.

One of the Mod replied:
"I have escalated the potential technical issue where you have a verified business address when you click the ‘Business Address’ button from your Account Health Dashboard, but the button remains a grey circle even though it should be a green check mark.

The seller reverification team should get back to us within the next few business days."

Waiting to see what happens next.

I entered my code before it said delivered and it worked ok and came back as verified

I took the day off and did not call about the postcard. But I just visited the business address page again, and this time I scrolled down the page where I found boxes to input my first and last name; a ways beneath the address. Below that was a Confirm button. After filling in the boxes and hitting confirm then the page loaded with the timeline and code box.

The name boxes were not visible until I scrolled, I had no idea they were there. Check your page again and scroll down.

Just did that, scrolled all the way to the bottom of the page, nothing.

As I said before, I never had this pink banner as you did, so maybe our situation is different.

Glad at least now you have the timeline, hopefully not a long wait for the card to arrive and no issue entering the code.

How did you know the code on postcard before the postcard actually arrived?

After the submission, you should have a little clock icon next to the Business Address link as shown the screenshot below. If you click that link, you’ll be taken to the Address Verification page where you could find the postcard progress status and where you enter the code.

Not what was said …
Post card had arrived but was not updated in Amazon system to show as delivered on the status bar.
