Well then, only took them a year but it looks like either PM’s are a thing again on the NSFE (mod must create) OR more likely, that is the error when they hide a thread and only mods can see it
But in this case the mod is referring the seller to go there for answers … so not only mods …
Yep, reading more of the previous posts now, looks like they created a way to make a PM. Guess that whole “we will only use SS Cases” think isn’t working out the way Kate expected!
This is my thinking, as well.
Which, ironically, was touted as one of the justifications for the NSFE - i.e., that the PM/DM functionality had been abused by some (which certain of the vets here have mentioned was indeed the case).
But if only a Mod can create said PM and always has an ear in on them - Yeah no way that can go wrong!
Makes us want to create a case and see if we could get a private room thread.
Originally during beta, we were told the private messages where being abused and illegal activities were being conducted so they needed to be eliminated.
Shades of the “We didn’t remove that offsite URL from your PM” smoke-blowing in 2022…
And notice Steve’s third link, pointing to the Midway Authentication Portal @ https: //www.sellercentral.amazon.dev/help/hub/reference/201394090 rather than to the non-Amazonian SHC page “Amazon North American and Brazil stores” @ https: //sellercentral.amazon.com/help/hub/reference/201394090.

Another sterling effort by the FMT-CMT mentioned here:

Oh, you HAVEN’T hacked into amazon’s backend yet? All the cool kids have.
So we need to use the chat with IT link and tell us that Steve_Amazon referred us and we need our credentials?

2 posts were split to a new topic: NSFE: [New Seller Community] The Real MVPs: Saluting our Seasoned Contributors - January Juggernauts
A first for me:
That isn’t the Ricardo I knew
I am not surprised that Ricardo did not try to answer a question that he doesn’t know the answer to, unlike other NSFE mods.
And I’m not surprised that he is responding in an invitational way, to facilitate community-building.
I am surprised to see him posting on NSFE at all (and I know this isn’t the first time) because I thought I recalled that his duties had pivoted away from the OSFE.
I always liked Ricardo and felt he was a real person actually trying, even though he was the one who red-message warned me (and then, in fairness, UN-warned me) about sharing a uline link in a PM. We all make mistakes, and I think it was innocent on his part. He was also helpful when I reached out about a memorial thread for AZEthos.
I think I see what he’s trying to do here, and I can respect it.
Connor joined the ‘dev’ club today w/ this embedded link to the Global Dashboard:
The URL s/he’s apparently intending to use is here:
https: //sellercentral.amazon.com/global-dashboard.
We notified Connor_Amazon of < .dev > usage in forum links …
Good show, my friend.
