they do have very specific ways of responding. They are after all, run by the same program. I don’t think there are other chat bots besides the numbered ones. Of course there ARE mods that just don’t know anything
Yep; I’ll normally endeavor to post a direct link to an NSFE post, but since both ‘users’ have only a single post - both to the same discussion - I just went with the NSFE profile.
I have seen this exact behavior many times before in various fora, which is why I’m fairly certain that these are bots.
Agree, yet I found Danny’s responses patronizing, though he is right about the “Aces” being legendary!
You know, once I had a “Beat them or Join them” moment. It was the day when I was selling on our brand websites, and had an epiphany. I could think I would win over Amazon, or I could sign up as a seller and use it as another channel.
We were on eBay too, so that day we became a “Multi-Channel” eCommerce company.
I think the NSFE needs to take a long look at this winning strategy. What if they embraced the SAS? We have organically what they are trying to do with this new “Listings Lounge.” Though that appears to be going down the toilet as time marches on.
Yep, they’re still serving up a mess of pottage & calling it filet mignon, as our friend @Picks_by_Nisha’s response in the 7Mar24’s episode illustrates:
Picks gave it the old college try, but I remember the 2017 email which the ESRT sent out to many of us who created cases questioning why ASIN Change/Merge Notifications had been deprecated, and I’d be willing to wager a pretty penny that they aren’t gonna be coming back as a result of Michelle passing this long-expressed feedback up the chain.
Yeah, just doubled-down in my response to her response.
Doubt it will make any difference, but gotta give it a shot.
ETA: I’ll point out that while I’m well aware this was done in the past (and was an active seller when they stopped doing it), I’m presenting it as a great new “forward looking” idea. Wouldn’t surprise me if enough people have rotated in and out of jobs that the current PTB might not be aware that this had already been discontinued.
Actually there was no URL, per se. Always state, when pitching for SAS, that forum members google sellers ask sellers. This I have done at least a half-dozen times recently; first time I’ve been caught!
Assume my error was directly answering a official MOD thread and an OP likely to read(scan if BOT) my comment, instead of a respondent, where a reply would end half-hidden.(One of the changes I despise about NSFE).
I did consider the above when commenting; took the chance and now, those who are still wallowing in the NSFE mess; continue in ignorance of this forum will get no good from my post. Will have to be more circumspect in future!!
Although I didn’t read your NSFE post before it was moderated, I was fairly certain that the “[Moderator removed external link]” tag was likely to have been cast wrongfully - and not just because I’m a member of the cohort inclined to pay attention to what you post; I’ve seen several of your recent NSFE-discussion replies which likewise do not have a direct link to The BEST Seller Forums Experience which is to be found here in the SAS.
Still, as our friend Image & I discussed upthread, I think that you’re probably right that it might well be time for a more-circumspective coding of references to these fora, here.
Wasn’t one of the original justifications for creating the NSFE that it allowed for public visibility?
Wasn’t that the justification given to the Handmade Artisan Community for exposig their previously-closed OSFE forum?
Wonder what they are hiding here, in the private discussion that Steve links in his reply (presumably visible only to bona fide members of the BBA Program):
