Weather

It would be so helpful if those of us who are providing weather reports would say where they live. Providing the depth of the snow where you live without specifying a location is not productive.

I live a few blocks from Central Park in NYC, and am eager to report on current weather conditions: Completely lousy, it is still coming down, the noise is keeping me from sleeping.

I am concerned about those who have lost power from this storm. It happened to us several years ago, and I have not forgottten how it affected us, as a family.

11:15pm Sunday

Last time we saw a below zero temperature here on the South Plains of Texas was 22 years ago.

Our Xmas decorations are buried under like 6 inches of snow (probably ice since it was like -15 this weekend with a -40 wind chill). I don’t suppose I will be removing them until February, maybe March. Any longer than that and I’m just going to leave them up until next Xmas.

OK, this is the best explanation I have seen so far:

This storm was a monster by us. Now we stay in the deep freeze until further notice and now they are talking about another big one in under a week. Next time I complain about heat in the summer, feel free to virtually smack me in the head.

 Meanwhile
A perfect day for a rocket launch at VSFB.

What’s that you say?.. Gas is 4$ a gallon less?.. Still a nope.

About JoeB

I often speak in movie quotes.

Ice in the morning and ice in the evening. Took 5 hours to clear my 200’ gravel driveway of 4-5" of rock-hard snow.

I need mother nature to stop day drinking. I just read about chances of snow in Florida. FLORIDA.

Well, that’s where you go for fresh orange juice –

Does anyone know what groundhog stew tastes like?

Chicken from another mother?

Gonna take 6-8 months for some of these ice burgs to thaw once we get above freezing and stay there.

We hit 34 today. It’s a miracle, I tell ya
.

Enjoy it while you can! (I’m about to take a walk). This heat wave is going to last only a few days.
