That’s why I am getting rid of everything I can (throwing in the street to melt in the sun) - happens fast. That, coupled with a couple warmer days this week + some rain should get rid of most of it from last month so we can start over…..
I really should change the oil in my snow blower…. It’s been a few years
The forecast is flip-flopping every time I check it. Still several days out, so we’ll have to wait and see (and this is flip-flopping while NWS still has a good computer!)
I have heard one weather person (not sure if he’s a certified meteorologist) state that the DelMarVa up to Long Island is the hardest area to predict what will actually happen.
It must be fun to be a meteorologist (hype-ologist?): “ONE TO TWO FEET OF SNOW COMING! Maybe. Though a lot of things have to happen. Like cold air. And sufficient moisture. TUNE IN FOR MORE UPDATES!”
Not sure what type is responsible, but I can tell you that my van is showing serious signs of various birds, leaving lots of **** on it.
Would be bad enough if the hose wasn’t buried by the snow and I could hose it off…
For those of us in the area, when the forecast is “you’ll get a buttload of snow” and it’s anywhere from 8-40", we consider that correct, fully knowing that you can get 10" and your friend a mile away can get 20".
People in other parts of the country hear ‘7-10"’, get 5 or 12, and think “they don’t know what they are talking about”.
For the I-95 corridor, it’s often a difference of a few miles that changes everything (as you, selg, and I can attest)
This is the best write up I’ve seen about what is known and unknown for this storm at this time.
Sellers who are in or adjacent to any affected locations on the map below should consider emergency preparations, including possibly put their stores on vacation as soon as today.
For FBM/merchant fulfillment, consider mailing out all open orders today or tomorrow WITH SCAN AND TRACKING. At least then any delays should be clearly due to carrier difficulties, and not late ship by Seller.
