They were certainly there - perhaps none better than this nifty limerick, crafted in response to the FMT cracking down on mentions of the SAS in early April:
“Just wanted to say thanks to the old timers that have assisted in the old forum when we needed it.”
You can still thank them. That reminds me of an old limerick: Its hard to when your Sellers, sometimes its all about getting the right question to Ask, but in the end we all have to remember that we are all Sellers on this crazy .com internet machine.
There were legal considerations, tied to my participation in the ASF, and partially to the activities of two members - one perma-banned, despite the EU apology, & one confessed criminal whose perma-ban was lifted w/ the advent of the NSFE (despite FMT assurances that that would NOT happen) - that I’m not @ liberty to disclose.
As was also true of my last long hiatus, from Thanksgiving 2018 to early 2019, I took advantage of the time off to help the better ½ strike off some of the things on the bucket list that required me to set aside my reluctance for going aloft and/or afloat, now that I’m in my dotage and aware that the personal percentages of safety could be narrowing, so that was nice, too.
I can’t think of better words than already posted by others, and I’ll bet there will be so many more to come, everyone has missed you. I’ll just say this is a day to mark on the calendar. I see you too have counted them.
Me ears have been burning - getting the band back together, and all that - but as per my usual profligacy in this regard, I’ve only been onboarded to SAS for about 3 hours, now, & I’m already out of likes (I owe a bunch, `cuz I’ve been voraciously reading the BSFE for many moons).
