How do I PM you, Papy? Or is learning to PM the verification test? (:
I tagged her for youā¦
Thank you!
You use the āPersonal chatā from the sidebar on the left, right?
Newer users do not have access to PMs and I believe Papy has PMs disabled. Pepper_Thine_Angus has taken over the verification process.
@CloudCapJewelry I just did a test PM to you. All I did was click on your icon and select the Message Button in the upper right hand corner of your profile.
Do you have that button when you click my profile? I do know new users have to wait a short time. As you can imagine, a pirate could sign up and cause some issues. My feeling, not in the TOS at SAS that I know.
Correct, Iām too new to have the button yet.
Anyone interested in becoming Verified here on SAS can flag this post for moderator attention.
@CloudCapJewelry weāre working on you!
Well, not quiteā¦ Iām really not personally accepting messages at the moment, due to reasonsāspecifically, that when we enforce forum Community Expectations, even in as friendly, respectful, and supportive a Seller community as SAS, some folks make bad choices in their frustration at structure, authority, and consequences.
Since Iām busy x100, I donāt have time for tantrums, back-and-forths, excuses, whataboutism, rationalizing, both sides-ing, or harassment via PM, from actual grown-@$$ adultsābut because Iām a chick with a mom vibe who doesnāt care if you ālikeā me (#Barbie), I have been targeted more frequently for those kinds of PMs (and also public posts) than my fellow (male) staff.
So I have simply blocked PMs for now. Iām sure most of you can understand. Keeping things public keeps everyone honest and moreā¦cautious.
BUTā¦I do still get PMs! You are not left in the lurch!
- Any messages sent via āsomething elseā flag to moderators, I receive, in addition to other staff.
- Anyone can tag me in any post at any time.
- We are reaching out to those who want to be Verified as quickly as possible.
So for information to all. I sent @CloudCapJewelry a PM by clicking on their icon and then selecting āMessageā it went through and they responded. We have been āPMāingā with no problem.
It would appear that they can not click an icon of a member and see any āMessageā button.
A workaround to that is if a new member wanted to talk to another member (that is verified) they could ask (in public) that person to PM them. Then the private conversation can occur and continue.
Unless I found an unknown bug or hole in the system.
LOLā¦ The post that got me here has actually been deleted by Amazon. Some users had up-voted my comments, and when I clicked on the notification, it now says āDiscussion Not Available, Sorry, we canāt find this discussion.ā Then I had notifications that Amazon had deleted my post in the discussion. Guess they donāt want everyone knowing the SAS is hereā¦
Theyāre a day late and a dollar short - that NSFE discussion (which Iāve archived, in both original & redacted-post versions) probably did as much, or maybe even more, to let our Seller Community know about the SAS/SellersAskSellers Forum (aka āBSFEā - āBEST Seller Forums Experienceā) as did all of the combined efforts by so many to spread the word over the last 7 months.
Put that in your pipe and smoke it, Katie - after all, it was your poorly-wrought abomination that served it up, for multiple days, as a āFeaturedā Discussionā in the Seller Forums Widgetā¦
A big on this one!
To send a PM message if the icon click isnāt working for you (assuming you have made it to be authorized to do PMs), you could try your summary ā¦ click New Message button and then add the person(s) you wish to PM with ā¦
New members do not have the ability to create PMās. They can receive them.
Iāll have to test, I think they can send a PM to me and other āstaffā
Once I sent a PM to āCloud Clapā they got it. He/she responded, I sent them back a message, and we communicated privately.
So again, a work around is for the new member, to ask for a PM (publicly, in a post) from someone they want to talk to. At least until they are approved.
The āleadersā have a lot to do this week, with all the new members. āVerifiedā may take time.
Yes, thank you!
New members donāt have immediate access to PMs because they must earn the privilege. We donāt want to let in someone who then immediately starts PMing everyone, āI pay cash for Amazon stores!ā etc.
Agree, I think upthread I called someone that would do that a pirate.
