This fine gentleman found it necessary to pour out 5 giant bags of cans to organize them on my sidewalk and then relieve himself on my tree. Man I wish I saw this when it was happening…. One of the many joys of living in NY.
ewwww
Did he clean them up?
I wouldn’t want that all in my front yard, for sure, but at least I hope he didn’t leave a mess.
This stuff happens everywhere-no respect for other people’s property.
I’m guessing if the guy is homeless, he has nowhere to do this stuff. Everywhere is someone’s property, so he just does it where it’s convenient.
Maybe some time in the past he saw a bear documentary and the bear was in the hoods woods?

But there are degrees of property interference. He could do it someplace where he interferes less.
And he clearly does have transportation, so he could easily get to a lower-interfering place.
He was just sorting them. He picked up every last can, including the 5 or so that blew down the street which was pretty funny to watch I must say… Haha
The problem I had was the pissing on my property TBH. You get desensitized to stuff like this living here.
Keep in mind, there are homes in this 110 house development that are worth $3M+ and it’s an everyday part of life.
Not homeless. There are armies of people that do this. Most of them have cars. They are older asian folks generally. We also have an older woman with a giant hump on her back.
She lives in a $500K Co-Op around the corner.
Sure, Like where he gets paid for the stuff. TBH, I think he was just consolidating because he had a big score in our hood and couldn’t fit it all. Hold on, I’ll grab a pic of where he was loaded up… Also, smoking a cigarette….
Again, It was the pissing that pissed me off….. The rest of it was just funny.
ETA: - Sorry - this is a picture of a monitor… Too much time to pull the file off the NVR just to make a joke….
Thanks for the share, I have never seen that before, did not know it was a thing. And thanks for a not share on the image of the work he did on the tree.
It did bring up a memory, happening way to much lately, wonder if that indicates anything?
Way before security cameras of any kind I was out working in the orchard, I noticed a couple up by the road so I stopped up to see what help they may need. They were hard to see through the trees. They were picking apples, that were going to Duffy Mott the following week for processing.
As I walked up I asked, “Excuse me, what are you doing?” as I laid my shot gun on the hood of my tractor. They managed to spit out, “We are picking them… After all God put them here.”
I glanced at my tractor hood well within reach I said, “Well he may have but he does not get up at 3:30 am to spray them. Take what you already have stolen and leave the property.”
Different times.
I think he’s gonna need a bigger boat. (Insert Jaws theme here).
There is a huge Asian population around here from every part of Asia. Let’s not paint them with that brush, because I’ve never known a single one of them to do that in public, especially not ones who are rich, because they would pride themselves on being rich.
I’m not one to paint people with brushes. Just observing reality.
Then your reality is warped. You really don’t really interact enough with them to know them as people. I am surrounded by a sea of them and they don’t do that unless they are homeless, like the guy in the picture might likely be.
Well, in a LOT of jurisdictions the ‘Guvment’ considers the sidewalk and the strip of land between the sidewalk and the road to be THEIRS. I always wondered why they could fine you for not shoveling when they think it’s theirs, but, you know – ‘Guvment’…
You are mis-interpreting what is being said.
He is NOT saying “Most (or even many) older Asians do this”.
He’s saying “Many of the people doing this are older Asians”. That’s a huge difference.
Looks like a fellow entrepreneur. You should have introduced him to the joys of selling on Amazon. ![]()
Amazon would insist on an LOA from the can manufacturer and suspend him anyway…
USED cans need to go on eBay like used books! ![]()
Yes!
Why stop at “the world is my garbage can” – expand that to “the world is my toilet”
