Wow I think this is a new low, even for NSFE

That person writes like a troll. They seem to get their kicks out of riling everyone up.

Well, if their goal was to kill any respect for the forum mods (not that there was much to be had there), mission accomplished. I have absolutely zero respect for them now.

Their forums are azz, their mods are azz.

Instead of locking this thread they just occasionally take a half measure moderation action once in a while.

The FMT-CMT wiped that post 4 hours ago.

I am increasingly led to this conclusion, dadgummit:

GGX beat me to it.

You guys need to let this sleeping dog lie/lay/whatever the proper English is.

You just FORCED me to respond to the latest post with one of my calm, patient, non-confrontational, posts (sarcasm fully intended) asking the MODS to actually do something.

I do love poking the bear at times. Well, actually, almost all the time.

We got a laugh out of the mod deleting that OP’s post which is posted as an image two replies later in an image (which isn’t deleted).

Mods: we almost got it right.

Granted, admitting to fraudulent actions in itself is insufficient to convict someone of a crime (though in this case, based on the linked storefront, there seems to be no shortage of actual evidence of wrongdoing on that store itself), and with the siloed nature of everything, I get why no action is taken outside of the forums.

But the fact they’re just letting this run wild instead of locking it 3 or 4 days ago just shows how incompetent/useless these people are.

If you were to write the job requirements for a “MOD” on NSFE what would they contain.

How much would you have to pay for someone with those skills?

Could you fill enough positions to run NSFE?

What authority would you have to give them to be effective?

How many silos would be upset with infringement on their turf?

Would you take Katie’s job?

  • Must have an IQ between a flea and the mouse the flea is currently biting
  • Must accept payment in Amazon gift cards
  • You have the authority to delete inappropriate posts only after 24 hours have passed and everyone already saw the post
  • You may not infringe on any silos except ones containing the same type of corn as yours

How is that different from the current requirements?

Amazon would not hire me even if I were to work for free, so I can be a bit more realistic about the situation.

Understand that I am in ‘fly-over’ country so I don’t need as much money as you rich east coast and west coast guys.

Pay me $80,000/year with three weeks paid vacation.

A 40 hour week with an hour for lunch every day (THAT puts me way ahead of current reality).

I am actually able to be UNfiltered so that I can tell clueless YouTube and TikTok sellers that they willfully failed to study Amazon rules and policies. As a result they have been permanently suspended due to THEIR actions.

I can close/delete comments and posts by people at any time.

I get phone numbers and emails that go directly to supervisors in all other departments to get the straight scoop on what is happening or needed in any situations that need help where I don’t already know the policies.

Anyone crying about my direct and too the point messages are sent a nice blanket and pacifier paid for by Amazon.

And, finally, a guarantee of five years pay so that it is worth my while to shut down my store(s).

I might need to hire Scott Boras to negotiate for a better deal though…

There was an actual job for forum mod posted at some point
(Community manager). If I remember correctly pay was low, like $50k

Getting a good brand is by far the most important. The majority of rotten things being done in the supplement market are by brand owners.

A crap reseller who’s selling stuff that’s close to expiry, or that hasn’t been stored properly doesn’t cause nearly as much damage as the brands who lie about what’s in the product.

That said, I personally choose to buy these things direct from good manufacturers.

My daughter is 6 months old, where do I send my whiny complaints, and can I exchange the pacifier for a bottle?

I cannot say that I am surprised by that. Amazon clearly attaches little importance to the quality of the forums.

In earlier versions of the forum, it was a place where they ran some rising stars through for a limited amount of experience in dealing with sellers. I am sure Oneida remembers Darren who was one of those.

I think “little” is giving way too much credit here.

After seeing this thread it’s abundantly clear that you can do whatever you want on the forums. If you posted a bunch of personal attacks, racist comments, or threats at people, it would probably take 24 - 48 hours for some of them to be removed, and some likely won’t be removed, and you could continue doing it since they apparently do not revoke posting privileges.

Rob’s not the only one who remembers DarrenK.

Or Lauren.

Please contact Amazon Customer Service for product exchanges. I’m sure they can handle it for you. Inventory levels indicate they are low on Scotch so you may need to settle for some fine Tequila…

It would appear however that it depends on the ox being gored so to speak.

As I recall, a few years back I got a 24 or 48 hour time out for suggesting that too may snowflakes were melting as a result of some of my comments.

Snowflakes are a protected species apparently.:grin::grin:
