He just took a 3 hour nap on my lap while I worked. ![]()
Dear Dad, I am growing so fast. Please get that damned tight thing off my neck ASAP. It is strangling me, and I also have no use for it. Thanks, Your Dear O.
My daughter likes the bowtie. I say it serves no purpose and I take it off him a lot.
The weird thing is he doesnāt care. If I tried to put collars on any of my other previous 6 cats, I would be in the ER getting stitches. LOL
He doesnāt care if I touch and play with his hands / feet, which is another thing all cats hate. I can cut all his nails without him caring. Belly rubs are no problem. I think this cat might be part dog.
Agreed except for the part about nail trimming. The dog in pink hated having her nails trimmed. I took her to a professional grooming place. I had to put a muzzle on her to prevent her from biting the groomer. She still bared her teeth through the muzzle.
In my experience, they all are, if ya raise `em right.
The same would seem to be likewise true vice versa.
We puny humans tend to think of of our pets as ādumb animals,ā but after thousands of years of domiciliation, those of feline and canine stock (among others) apparently have gotten wise to our ways.
We have 5 cats (all rescues): 11yo brothers, 10yo female, and 3yo brothers. They are all indoor cats. We only have collars on the babies, and they are bowties. The bowties also came with bells, which I removed from the black and white one but definitely left on the orange. ![]()
Recent pics of fancy bowtie lap kitties.
So cute! Love that perfect āMā on his head. A true Tabby.

We took the bell off as well. That, Ollie did not like.
@Dogtamer - I have spent an incredible amount of time with Ollie, training him to be the cat we want him to be. He understands āNoā at this point and will freeze when I say it. This comes in handy when we bring him down and Kara is around. Every urge in his body says to bolt to her but when I say no, he freezes.
The spray bottle has worked wonders from stopping him from the mischief he likes to get himself into that can get himself hurt / in trouble.
Heās literally attached to me whenever heās with me. It should be interesting once heās living in our place 24/7 eventually. I imagine he will be that cat that sleeps on top of my head. So clingy and precious. Nobody will ever replace my sweet Charlie that passed in January but this little guy has certainly stolen my heart.
Charlie knew his name, came when he was called, and meowed when you said āTalkā to him, every single time without exception up until his final day on this earth.
What a beautiful tribute to both Charlie and Ollie

Two of my smallest āladiesā get cold very quickly and wear a winter coat from October to April. We have an entire wardrobe of adorable coats and jackets for them to choose from.
A little surprise last week, seems we have pups on the way.
Iām one happy Didi! Yesterday I was able to feel their little feet moving around in Moms belly.
Lost my beautiful Lady Lola back in September, these will be her great grandbabies. Iām hoping for all girls. Iāll keep all of them ![]()
Congratulations for puppies on the way!
Iām sure theyāll be adorable. Youāll need to post photos.
The ālady dog in pinkā didnāt like wearing coats and sweaters during the winter, but she didnāt seem to mind the cold much when I took her outside. Before I adopted her, I had another dog that looked similar to her except that he hated cold weather. He would shiver and shake when I walked him outside but he didnāt like wearing a sweater. I finally had to tell him, āToo bad, itās cold and youāre shivering. Youāre going to wear a sweater.ā He didnāt like the sweater but at least he didnāt shiver.
Thanks for sharing about your puppies. ![]()
The house hound today found the mouse bait box outside, induce vomiting, quick trip to the vet (the CUBE was puked up in transit).
Ugh, he will be fine, cause he yacked it up and some breakfast showing it was āall outā, but looking back on it I am reminded of this:

LEAST expensive vet visit in a long time, Under $300 Including the $100 charge for calling poison control (Poison control charges $100 per call, this is not a vet only thing and do not fault them. Iām sure they have a subscription and get a discount but donāt care)
Iāve long lurked on this thread, just loving all the pet pics. Due to my kidās allergies, we can no longer have a cat (much to my dismay). So, we found an awesome breed of hypoallergenic dogā¦the American Hairless Terrier. Pic of our first, Samson, looking snazzy in his holiday jacket.
We added a puppy, Finn, this spring. Pic of him on one of the first cold fall days. As you can see, heās a real snugglebug.
Due to their hairless nature, weāre well stocked on PJās for the boys!
Cute puppies
