I got denied last year, I’ve supplied the IRS EIN documents and it was never acceptable
It got a little frustrating so I gave up. Can you help me get started again?

What would be great is after care when your account is set up. The ā€œspecialistsā€ working on cases don’t refer to previous cases (especially when it’s a persistent issue) and they don’t even know how to answer or what they are talking (for example-I had an EMAP question and they had no idea what EMAP was).

Hi, we opened a Walmart Marketplace seller account and submitted our info for verification about two weeks ago. The status still shows ā€œVerifying,ā€ even though the page says it usually takes around 2 days.

I opened a support case on the 8th and uploaded our LLC and EIN documentation, but I haven’t received any updates and the case is still showing as open. Right now we’re just stuck waiting without any feedback.

Would you be able to check into this or point me in the right direction to get the account verified?

These days, Walmart cases seem pretty hit or miss. Some sellers are getting quicker turnarounds while others are taking weeks. @Sundance had a case open for a month and a half before they resolved the issue. 2 weeks is annoying, but not worrisome, yet.

Right now, Walmart is holding new applications for extensive review if you apply on your own. The hold is indefinite as of now. We have not received a timeline for when these will be released. To get approval, new applications need to be done through a business development manager, like myself. Desertscooters reached out via LinkedIn and I’m working with them to see what we can do.

It’s refreshing to see Walmart really taking control of their marketplace and rooting out the trash.

It’s unfortunate that legit sellers are getting hurt by this but it had to happen, at least in my category.

I posted plenty in another thread about the rampant counterfeiting / IP theft that was going on with sellers from China.

It’s too bad Walmart opened the marketplace up to China a few years ago. In the end, I am sure it will be profitable obviously but there’s a lot of work and expense going on now to take out the trash.

I’m not opposed to the policy, just the lack of communication. It makes it hard for honest sellers to onboard when the actual requirements don’t match the stated requirements.

You are 100% correct. Walmart doesn’t even notify its sellers when a listing has been taken down. They also don’t notify their sellers when a listing is reinstated. Can’t make this stuff up.

And we thought Amazon was bad….. :roll_eyes:

Unfortunately, I have to have a few details. I manually enter the info into the system and then send out the application link. It’s personalized per seller. Cheers!

I’ll throw shade…worst platform (just my opinion of course). How is it Walmart requires a signature for proof of delivery? Tracking numbers don’t count so we have to pay $4 more to ship to get a signature ??? …How is it other platforms out sell Walmart for the exact same item 15:1
