Is anyone here getting restricted product issues with items being classified as plant seeds tonight?

I am honestly not sure exactly what Stevie meant, or if Stevie is a reliable source. :woman_facepalming:

Yeah it scared me a bit when I first saw that quote from her because I thought maybe checking those boxes was admission of breaking the rules but there was no way to appeal without checking those off. After going back and reading those boxes….those weren’t an admission of anything so I also have no clue what she was talking about unless she just meant not to delete the listings (since I believe there is no way to remove the violation from your dashboard then).

Again, this is all subject to the seller support team actually fixing these the right way on appeal. i have 3 of them still sticking as violations even though I received replies back saying the case was resolved for those 3. All the other emails that said the same thing (which were a couple hundred) for other ASINs were removed from the dashboard 8-10 hours ago so they obviously screwed up something on these three and didn’t correctly fix them. I’m hoping they don’t remove these……

Please keep us updated on those 3.

Does it make anyone feel just a tiny bit better to know that all of Amazon’s bots seem to be running amok at the moment?:woman_facepalming:

Looks like two of those came off late last night even though they didn’t look at my cases that I had re-opened.

Still waiting on the third one.

I actually checked and still have like 20 cases still open from the 250 or so I initially appealed so they must have removed those automatically as opposed to my appeal.

I got slapped with around 40 of these, most if not all due to use of the word “waterproof” (at least as far as I can tell).

Everything from gaskets to range hood filters to gas igniters. I think the iron steam trap will do especially well if planted this time of year.

ETA:
Sorry, not 40. 400.

Last one is now gone, too.

Are we taking bets on the over/under for how many days until their next mess up?

No bet here, there is ALWAYS a mess up ongoing for Amazon sellers.

The bet would have to be how BIG a mess up?

Took too long but agree

Yep…they should have sent this Saturday instead of saying mostly nothing except for sellers to basically waste their entire weekend appealing this non-sense. Too little too late for me.

Just wanted to note that Amazon “mea culpa” email was a crafted LIE.

The original removal request explanation was…

This product has been identified as a live plant or seed product that is listed outside of the SEEDS_AND_PLANTS or PLANT_SEED categories.

but the mea culpa says, they [the delisting warnings] were sent to items listed in outside categories as “A TECHNICAL ERROR”.

How can a SPECIFIC email stating the reason for the take down be anything but ON PURPOSE - not a Technical error.

anyway…

Bots gonna be bots. They are technically technology.

Classic Amazon spin.

There’s a reason why we ourselves refrained from following the recommended course of appealing Amazon’s mistake on an ASIN-by-ASIN basis:

I’ve seen this movie many times before in earlier years’ ramping-up for this or that Amazon-heralded event.

Coincidence? Mebbe so - but given the broad abundance of available evidence (especially in recent years) on matters like this, I ain’t particularly inclined to be buying it…
