Just an FYI on all the account verifications and why

I just noticed that the verification email came from amazon.ca and not .com.

Nyrrrghhgh

Is the company a corporation or an LLC?

Look in the account settings and make sure whoever is the officer listed in the Official Registered Address or Legal Entity Is available just in case you need them there when the call happens I guess.

Corporation. I believe.

I have already looked in both of these areas in my Amazon Account Info, and they show only the business information. There is no person listed anywhere.

We are incorporated in our state. The State Business Website is run by the Secretary of State in NH. It lists the officers of the corporation.

I think it would be good to find that data and have it available.

I wonder if they are going through and reverifying every account past a certain year; or just accounts that are missing info; there have also been posts from established sellers on the NSFE who are also going through this.

My account is not that old but it predates video verification and so far I’ve not been re-verified.
I’m pretty sure I’ve added missing info when ever I’ve realized that there is more info that could be added.

Today, I have received this email

from Seller Central <[email protected]> too.

 more silliness from Amazon… Wish they could be honest and just tell us they are collecting verified data on a ‘contact’ person, to shift potential liabilities Amazon previously bore to the Sellers and their ‘contact’. Basically, Amazon is going to use this information when they get sued or Law Enforcement calls. “No it wasn’t us, this is the guy you want…”

If this was real, legally required KYC verification stuff, they would be requiring verification of an officer or principal, not just any old ‘contact’. I would expect to see changes shortly to the way claims of defect, illegal, caused damage, injury/death to be handled by Amazon. I also suspect that we should see some changes to Amazon Services Business Solutions Agreement § 6 - 8.

We had the same issue. I could live with or without Amazon, so I just did what was easiest and it worked! I opened the latest bank statement online and printed to PDF (so that it had color). Amazon states that the scans/photos must have color. The driver’s license was just a cell phone pic, front and back. Everything must have worked, as we received a success email from Amazon today.

As soon we received their “reverification” email, I put the store on vacation mode, since they noted that they may hold our money. I just don’t trust them. I guess we will take it off of vacation mode to see what happens.

We submitted a mix of .jpeg and PDF files. It worked.

What was the email header?

It was from Seller Central [email protected] (no weirdness after)
Title was “Action required: Re-verify your Amazon seller account”

More importantly, while there were a couple of links available, the instructions were strictly regarding the steps to take on Seller Central; no need to click links, or to reply to the e-mail.
But the avatar was the same as used for “Sold - Ship now” and “Listing Created” emails; since I’m working on going through a pile of probably about 1500 books, there are a LOT of those emails coming in (the “Listing Created”; sadly, very few “Sold” messages)

Holding my breath here as my DL has a hypenated name (maiden and married)
and of course none of my other bills/documents are done that way.
Knowing who is “reviewing” these documents and understanding they have no clue
why this is done, how should I handle this?
Appreciate the help.

Update your Business Address and include your name exactly how it appears on your DL

Why not make it match by updating the Legal Entity and Business Address?

I believe this means, :tada: :beers:!

Jpegs of US Passport Card & a bank statement downloaded and printed (Zions Bank if that matters… I wonder what hell Silicon Valley and Signature Bank customers might be in if they are Amazon Sellers??)

Concerned about having my home address listed as my business address, since Amazon publishes that now.
Changing bank account and cell phone, lease to building now to reflect same.
Always on edge here… smh.

I assisted many sellers who had their Accounts under an LLC, which is tricky when it comes to re-verification. They could not pass because their personal name did not appear anywhere on the Account, and Amz could not match their Gov ID to their Account. Once they added their personal name to the Business Address, their documents were accepted. Bank Docs with Company LLC matched Legal Entity; their ID name matched the name listed under the Business Address. Hopefully, that will work for you as well… :crossed_fingers:
