I once got a ticket for 93 in a 30 on Ocean Parkway by Jones Beach.
Only car on the road in Feb. Used to use it as a extra 15 mile detour to save 30 mins on my commute to avoid traffic. Yea, adding 15 miles saved half an hour. Welcome to NY.
Switches from 55 to 30 many times along its length. Oh Well… That was a fun court date. About 20 years ago. I’m not that dumb anymore but close. 
Shot out of a tunnel at 82 in a 55 in a pack of cars. I was the big silver SUV so I was the target.
Officer was just doing their job, and gave me a warning (limit not in the tunnel was 70, so 82 was reasonable)
