âSherlockâ or âElementaryâ? Iâve watched both and both are great.
I changed cable providers and it opened a whole new world. The Pitt is awesome and really scary at times if you follow medical stuff. The very first episode I got my wife to see for the first time what they did to her ankle when she had the crash with the drunk!
In The Pitt series, in Season 1, Episode 7 (the 1PM hour of the day) they had a stark reminder of the dangers of these offshore items!
From an AI summary that is actually accurate â AI Overview âIn
The Pitt season 1, episode 7 (â1:00 P.M.â), Dr. Samira Mohan treats a young beauty influencer named Nandi who is experiencing severe tremors, psychosis, and insomnia. The staff initially suspects a psychiatric condition, but Mohan discovers the cause is mercury poisoning from an imported contaminated facial cream Nandi promoted.â
Awesome series and lots of awards.
âElementaryâ thanks for the correction. âSherlockâ is the one w/ Benedict Cumberbatch as the detective. âElementaryâ's Holmes is Jonny Lee Miller. Neither likeable if happened to move next door.
I retreat to the couch and have one eye on the TV and one on the computer, listing/repricing. Often must request husband,in charge of the remote, to rewatch parts that seem obscure or important. Weâve watched so many Holmes adaptations that all but the best run together.
The last Agatha Christie adaptation we watched, âThe A-B-C Murdersâ w/ John Malkovich as an elderly Poirot was awful. We love the âPittâ though sometimes too realistic and bloody. Itâs become our new go-to, as Blue Bloods once was. Not enthralled w/ âBoston Blueâ though like Donnie Wahlberg. Cast not strong enough without Tom Selleck/Len Cariou/Bridget Monihan, in my opinion.
IMO, Grogo is the only thing worth watching at tonightâs Oscars.
Re-watching, This Is The Way.
And The Pit
Iâve become addicted to The Critical Drinker reviews. He does give out rare praise to the new movie âHail Mary,â which Iâm looking forward to seeing.
TBH, after watching âPicardâ season 1, I have little interest in anything Trek any more.
We are about three episodes into Scarpetta, the Prime Video series based on the Patricia Cornwell books.
I find the flashforwards and flashbacks annoying, and the crimes overly morbid.
My wife took the opportunity to read on of the books, which she found more disturbing than the series.
For a change of pace, last night we watched an episode of Midsommer Murders, which had a higher than normal body count.
I thought strange new worlds was decent. Less of âThe Messageâ compared to Discovery and clearly Academy.
Wife shifts around in her chair, when Anson Mount is strutting around.
I really liked the book âHail Maryâ and Iâm looking forward to the movie. Not sure when I will get to see it.
I have thoughts re: Star Trek. Lots and lots of thoughts.
After seeing Dr. Robbie in the Pitt, began binge-watching ER w/ George Cloony (an unlikeable womanizer), Anthony Edwards as Dr. Mark Greene and Juliana Marguiles as Nurse Carol Hathaway.
Holds up pretty well, to have begun in the mid-90âs, not a erp-making as the Pitt, which, frankly, I donât think a bad thing.
Dr. John Carter, AKA Dr. Robbie, is a heart-throb, the type youâd wanna bring home to mother so she could brag about her daughterâs doctor-beauâ to her friends!! .
Have you watched âHell on Wheelsâ (starring Anson Mount)? It was a great show based on the competing companies who built the cross-country railroad. Has Colm Meaney in it, who does a great job as one of the railroad bosses.
Awesome series ⊠and so was âDeadwoodâ.
Yup, had to lock my wife away in the closet, as it had Anson Mount and Common on the screen at the same time. Even I have to admit those are some handsome dudes.
Yup, I love Josh Duhamel⊠Just kidding Timothy Olyphant. I still chuckle over the conversations with Swearenger and Mr. Wu when his dope gets stolen.
Had not heard of this, though always assumed would like **Deadwood,**since big western fans.
We like the INSP channel and Grit-have seen every John Wayne or Clint Eastwood western many times! Also Have Gun Will Travel w/ Richard Boone as Renaissance man-Paladin(Wire San Francisco) and Wild-Wild West w/ Robert Conrad and Ross Martin due to all the gadgets/gimmicks, not necessarily of the correct period. Our favorite is still Gunsmoke w/ James Arness and Amanda Bake, The thirty-minute episodes in B&W may be the best, excellent screen plays, though not much character development. No time in 25 minutes!! .
My husband, who is a fan of vintage radio programs on satellite radio, tells me Have Gun Will Travel w/ John Dehner as Paladin was a series in the 50âs. Also Gunsmoke beginning 1952. several years before TV series, starring William Conrad. Great bass voice, he was the narrator for Rocky & Bullwinkle, Dudley Do-Right of the Mounties and The Fugitive but too short/ heavy compared w/ Arness( whom John Wayne recommended after he was offered the part) for the starring role. He starred later as a PI in Cannon and Jake and the Fat Man (1987-1992) w/ Joe Penny as Jake.
